Terms of Service
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India, and able to form a binding contract, to use Kaapi. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.
2. The service
Kaapi is a personal finance app that, with your permission, reads financial emails from your connected mailbox to build a spending dashboard, obtains your credit report and score from a credit bureau, and provides AI assistants that discuss your spending and credit. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
3. Your account
- You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your device and sign-in secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information (including identity details such as PAN and date of birth) and to keep it current.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Connected accounts & data
When you connect a Gmail or Outlook mailbox or request your credit report, you authorize Kaapi to access that data as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the right to connect the accounts you connect. You can disconnect a mailbox, turn off notifications, or delete your data at any time.
5. Not financial or credit advice
Kaapi provides information, tools, and AI-generated content for your personal use. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or credit-repair advice, and the AI assistants can make mistakes. Credit scores and report data come from third-party bureaus and may be incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for your own financial decisions; consider consulting a qualified professional before acting.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or connect accounts you don’t own or control.
- Attempt to access other users’ data, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
- Scrape, resell, or misuse the app or its content.
7. Intellectual property
Kaapi, its name, logo, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Your data remains yours.
8. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services (e.g. Google, Microsoft, credit bureaus, cloud and AI providers, app stores). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information it shows is accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaapi and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Kaapi harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
